Can you tell me the fees for the official test, and answer a few questions for me?

How many questions are on the actual test?

For the theory test there are 50 questions and the customer will have 57 minutes to complete the test. For the hazard perception test there are 14 clips which have at least one score-able hazard. One of them will have two. The pass mark is 44 out of 75.

I noticed the Play Solution isn't working properly. Is it supposed to put a red circle around all the hazards?

After the clip has finished you may choose to play the solution. The whole clip will replay and a red circle will highlight the score-able developing hazard when it appears.

Note that each clip only has one score-able hazard. This is the hazard that develops such that the driver needs to either stop or change direction. There may be other hazards in the clip, however they are not marked in the solution - simply because there are no points for identifying them.

Many students misunderstand the scoring mechanism, which is why we've included a hazard perception video introduction which explains this in more detail.

Can I take the practice tests in a different language?

You'll will automatically be directed to an official government theory test booking site. 

Can I practice the test questions by topic?

Yes you can.  Each test type (Car, Motorcycle, etc) offers options to take a short test, a full test, or to practice questions by topic.  When you select Practice questions by topic, a list of all available topics is displayed.  Click to select the topic you want to study and you'll see options to take a short test for that topic, a full test, or you can answer questions in a topic singly.  Each question you answer correctly in a topic is notated with a check mark, so you can easily track your progress.

How many Hazard Perception Video clips do you have?

The DSA allowed us to licence 8 clips from them. This is the maximum number of clips that the DSA allow any licensee to publish. You will be presented with 14 different clips in your real test. We have therefore produced a further 10 clips that we have published ourselves.
We do plan to produce more clips but, at this stage, 18 is the total clips in our catalogue. You should also note that these clips are practice clips and will not appear in your real test. The DSA do not publish the real clips and has kept these secret.

The Hazard Perception Test is not working; what should I do?

Please make sure you have installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. You can install the Flash Player at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. You must reboot your computer and try again.

I forgot my password; can I reset it?

Yes you can, to retrieve your sign in details:

An email will be sent to your email account with instructions for recovering the password. You might need to check the junk / spam folder if the email doesn't come through within 10 minutes.
